More than 1.8 million people reside in Greater Orlando, which consists of Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake counties. Median age of the area is a youthful 36 years. Orlando Sanford International Airport is located within 18 miles (29 km) of Orlando city limits and 45 minutes from the Orange County Convention Center and major attractions. With 16 airlines serving 22 U.S. and 15 international destinations, this bustling facility was ranked the fastest-growing airport in North America for 2004 by the Airport Council International. The airport is the second most active in Florida and 24th in the United States.
